Stand-up sit-ups are a great exercise to incorporate into your ab or core routine. They are awesome for building core strength and explosive power. So, recipe this move is particularly great for athletes wanting to work on explosive power for their sports. Stand-up sit ups are also great cardio – they will get your heart rate up!
Start in a lying position and then explode up to end in a standing position. Make sure that your knees stay pointing straight, rather than buckling in (that’s cheating). Add a weight to hold out front of you for added difficulty.
