Healthy Snacks vs. Unhealthy Snacks: A Visual


Ever have those days when you feel hungry all day long? Me, too! I’m all about maximizing the amount of food I can eat, so that desire alone helps me make healthier choices since it also allows me to have more in terms of quantity. However, even healthy food in excessive quantities does not do a body good (I’m looking at you peanuts!). The good news is there are lots of healthy snack options that will help you feel full, fueled, and keep your metabolism firing, without breaking the calorie bank. The key is choosing a healthy option (high protein or high fiber snacks are great choices) and knowing a proper portion size. Look how much more bang for your buck you get with a healthy snack versus a treat snack…and not just in terms of healthy nutrients, but also in terms of QUANTITY! I like to eat, so I say ‘heck ya’ to that! Healthy snacks will help fill you up without filling you out.
